Filing For Unemployment Benefits in Nebraska
Nebraska wins the award for the WORST UNEMPLOYMENT WEBSITE of all 50 states! After spending a full half an hour on their Department of Labor website, I still could not figure out how to file for unemployment.
Some links takes you to a pop up which are a dead end. Other links take you in a circle and you end up back in the same place. I have no idea what needs to be done to get unemployment benefits or where to file them online.
Another link (at the bottom of this page) takes you to the Nebraska Unemployment Insurance Handbook but the ebook is too small to read! Truly unbelievable.
It is a good thing that the unemployment rate in Nebraska state is about half of the national rate because otherwise there would be double the amount of frustrated filers.
Nebraska, you get a MASSIVE FAIL for your government website and the tax paying residents of this great state have every right to be upset.
